I would need to order a muffler and two tips and then they should be able to just weld that stuff on? I know i will need more piping? Would i need to order that too? lol

Correct. The shop can supply, cut and bend piping to size. I would also look into borla mufflers. They sound awesome. A little bit more pricey, but seems worth it.

would you think it would be cheaper to buy the two tips and muffler myself? Also would i need to purchase any sort of clamps and stuff to hold up the exhaust???

and man you wasnt kidding on borla lol...quite pricey though....couldnt find many single in dual out mufflers for them without spending a lot

Check with the shop and see what muffler is included with the quote they gave you. Then ask them what they would charge to install if you supply muffler and tips and see if you will save much by getting muffler and tips online.

You didn't mention the year you have, I would go airraid and tuner. These 2 will offer the most gain for the least amount of work.

No real performance to be had on the 5.4 by messing with the exhaust unless you go long tubes, true duals, x or h pipe and a tune for them, however that is out of your league at $600.

If you want to do anything with the exhaust just swap the stock muffler. If you have a welder its a few hours of work. My 08 was 2.5" pipe and I needed to buy a chunk to compensate for the stock muffler. The stainless exhaust systems are really only going o give you sound more than performance so save the money and just get an after market muffler. You are talking about $100 for supplies depending on the muffler you go with.

The place that gave me the 350 quote only does there own stuff and won't weld anything I bring on. The 350 comes with either magnaflow or flowmaster
