I've never had a problem with a Titan beating me lol. For what its worth the 17hp difference is not that bad. The 500lb difference is huge. As example in the quarter mile a 100 lbs is worth a tenth of a second which is about a half a car length. 500lbs would be 5 tenths and about 2.5 car lengths.

Good point. That power is at 5000rpm also, not down low where it counts.

Anyone who says a Titan is weak has never driven one. My friend has a screw and that truck is very stout and I'm impressed by it. His mileage is on par with mine. We take turns towing our bikes and gear when we go riding. I love my f150 and will admit his truck beast on mine.

Regardless of that small horsepower and torque difference I'll take my F150 any day of the week. Much better down low torque. Also so much better towing, can't beat a fully boxed frame plus that extra weight helps, keeps the trailer from taking control. Plus the out board shocks, that's good enough reason for me to buy.

I forget sometimes how much better our suspension is than other trucks, thats a good point. I bet they don't have nearly as wide of leafsprings either. I wish when ford did that video on bed flex they would have used a nissan as well to see how there suspension and frames held up. That Yota was terrible!

There probably was no reason to test the Titan.

But on trucks what does 0-60 or most any speed category matter? At the end of the day it needs to do the job of a truck. That is what our trucks and Ford does best; frame, weight, suspension by far, power band with low end torque, towing and hauling capability. I don't need a 'lightweight' truck with a floppy bed and power band of a car.

If you want a fast truck, go buy a Lightning. I owned one for awhile, very fun.

LMAO!!! They are weak! 317hp vs 300hp. Ohhh yeah thats a beast. Its a weak *** truck but that it feels stronger cause it weighs less than 5k. If you dropped 500lbs from the F150 they would feel very much the same. Nissan built a light truck and its frame is no where near as strong as the f150.

Speaking of stout frames whats the deal on super duty ATM Figured they would have fully boxed the frame , I know chevy did on the 2011s if you get a chance check out some of the videos at chevy.com
