Default 5.4 4x4 problems help

my 2005 f150 100,300miles has been acting up lately once it shifts into overdrive I get the scraping sound coming from the front end the hubs trying to engage but the problem I have is I just replaced the iwe solenoid and still have the same sound. just looking for where to take it from here?

also it has had a very hard time starting and doesn't seem to be running to well and I still haven't changed the plugs so I am wondering what you all got for results when u changed your plugs

I would check for a vacuum leak. Have you had the booster hose recall performed at a dealer? You would notice a rougher idle and a hard brake pedal. Your 4x4 hubs are engaged when there is no vacuum and shifting into overdrive the throttle plate should be closed for enough vacuum to keep them disengaged. Also check your hoses to the hubs for holes or cracks.
