Default 4x4 module

Does anyone know where they mount the 4x4 TCCM module for 2008 F150? I looked behind the glove box but don't see it.

What problem are you trying to solve? The control module is the engine computer. It’s basically an all in one unit on these.

I have no signal to the CW and CCW relays. Also not even seeing a 4x4 module while using Forscan. I hooked up to my buddies 2008 F150, and the 4x4 module shows.

Then do the standard stuff, visual inspection of harnesses, check fuses, etc. Stupid question, but make sure the truck is a 4x4?

Ok...I am a red seal Mechanic. I have obviously done all the troubleshooting. There is very vague information on where the 4x4 module is located on these trucks. Everything I have found has it located behind the glove box . It's not there. I have checked 2 other trucks the same year, and they both show a 4x4 module with Forscan. The one I am having trouble with does not show a 4x4 module. It shows the PCM, IC module, and Restraint module, but no 4x4 module. This tells me that the 4x4 module is seperate. The only reason I came on here is to ask for advise from some people with experience with these trucks to help me locate the module, not to be rude and tell me how to troubleshoot it. I am quite capable of that!

Look on the Firewall behind the glovebox under the hood. There is a module there that can get rain water in it on some of the 4x4 trucks.

here’s the wiring diagram for that system. It’s the PCM, the engine computer in the engine compartment in front of the passenger position, no separate module. Your PCM might be shot.

Thank you. Just wierd that it shows up as a seperate module while scanning with Forscan.
