4wd question
This^. I had the same exact issue all winter. Just kept putting it off since my truck was doing fine in the snow in 2wd. Just actually had it looked into on Monday and got it back yesterday. Turned out to be my left/front wheel hub actuator. Covered under warranty!
Got it replaced, tried it out,and everything's working fine now.
Mine did this from the IWE Solenoid being shot... but in most cases you shouldn't get a 4WD light come on if it's shot (even though mine did).
An easy test for that is put it in 4x4, pull the vacuum line off the solenoid and see if it works. Otherwise like the others said, it might be the actuators. If it's the solenoid it's easier to fix at least.

Thanks for the info I found that I need to replace both wheel 4wd actuators. :-( $120 from rock auto. With the truck picked up in the front both wheels spin freely and no half shaft spinning
