Default 40s on 2004 fx4

Is anyone here running for 40s on their truck and if so have you run into any weak points in the truck. Ive heard they have trouble with cv axles when you put that big of a tire on them. Any input would be appreciated.

With 40 inch tires, you name a part on your f150, and its probably a weak point....

Wow 40s on an F150? That's just ridiculous in my opinion. I have 35s on mine and I wouldn't go any larger than that. The independent front suspension on our trucks aren't exactly the strongest set up by any means.

Haven't broke anything yet, but it's not a daily driver and doesn't get abused too often. I sort of hope it does so I have an excuse to do a straight axle swap.

Haha yeah you'd be better off with the larger axles. I'm assuming that's a picture of your truck in your profile. If so, the 40s look sick on your truck. I still wouldn't do it, but I must say it looks awesome.

Its got the 14" Whiplash kit. I added a signature with most of what's done to it.
