Default 4-wheel drive light

My question is to all the 4-wheel drive guys. Has your 4-wheel drive light, and 4-wheel low light came on, blinked four or five times, then gone off, then came back on? I tried to see if there were any codes showing, and my edge says "no trouble codes". Has this happened to anyone?

It does. I havnt ever really used it before, other than jus checking to make sure it goes in and out on a regular basis. Also, I've heard some poping and clanking in the front end. I've had new brakes installed, and the mechanic says their fine. Is this normal?

If the front does not lock in properly it might pull but it will pop and clank. I would take it to a 4x4 shop and let them check it.

Last time someone described their front end as clanking, it turned out to be their hubs.
