I haven't been on here in a long time.... Anyways this is probably along the lines of one of the most discussed topics on this website, but I want to put long tube headers on my 4.6 my problem isn't finding a brand I like. It's finding a brand that will make long tube headers for the 4.6 can anyone help me out????

about 6 months ago I was about to buy full exhaust (long tubes, cats, mufflers, true duals of course. 02 sensor extensions and all that) the only headers I could find that I like were 1,000 by themselves. By the time I priced up everthing I wanted for my exhaust, intake, programmer and such. I was way above what it was worth. now im in the process of building a 4.6 4v. for my truck. boosted on top of that. I didn't find it very economical for me to spend a thousand bucks to turn around in a couple years to build a 600+ hp engine.

Other than stainless works "which I'm not gonna pay 1k for just headers" I've seen pacesetter makes them but I've heard they're cheaply made

I've ran Pacesetter's on cars I had in the past, but never an F-150. They are a budget header, but I never had problems with them and ran them for years. Just check to make the mating surface is flat and true, then check the exhaust ports against a gasket to make sure everything lines up well and you should be fine.

If you do get it, let us know how it turns out and how bad the install is. I have a 4.6 myself and would entertain adding some headers if I have had to replace the exhaust manifolds or gaskets.
