Default 4.56 Gears in

Picked up my truck yesterday after getting the new gears installed. Haven't driven it much since, but I can definitely tell a huge difference in the feel of the truck. I picked it up late because we were at the UH game, but afterwards I went and filled up with 92 octane and installed the 92 performce tune in my truck. I could certainly feel more power as the truck seemed to lurch off the line when I pushed the gas pedal instead of just trying to get up to speed with the stock gears. I will give a more detailed report once I actually get the truck out on the road, but it's hard out ehre because the speed limits are so low even on the highways.

I think that is the first aftermarket rear differental cover I've seen that isn't a Mag hytec.

BTW What are you doing for the break in period?

I spoke to the shop owner who did the install and he said just take it easy for the first 500 miles. Drive a little then let it cool down. Even though he said that he said there wasn't much I had to worry about no matter how I drove it. He said I shouldn't have to worry about changing the gear oil after 500 miles, but I think I'm going to do it anyways. It's going to take me about a month, if not more, to do 500 miles though.

Can you spin your tires off the line with them? If you have limited slip I would still think not but maybe if its conventional. Im just curious... You probably havnt even stepped on it have you? In fear of blowing them up. But I bet those gears turn 35s very nicly. Now we just need a video!!
