Default 3rd battery in 3 years

I have a 2006 f-150. The battery went dead the 1st winter I had it and it was still under warranty. The dealer replaced the battery for free. The 2nd and 3rd winters I am having the same problem and have replaced the battery again. Has anyone experienced anything like this? The truck is at the dealer and I asked for an electrical system check. I'll see what they say in the morning

Hmmmm I've had the same battery since 07, With that said I don't live where it gets brutally cold and I don't have any aftermarket subs/amp or high power pulling equipment installed on my vehicle. If you are running an amp without a capacitor that could be your problem. Also if you deep cycle your battery it cripples the life span of your battery.

If you dont have any extra electronic add ons and this is happening, you have something wrong. My 06 just had the original battery die on it two months ago.

The cold puts more stress on them. I just replaced the battery out of a 07 focus during xmas. My 06 is original, but I will replace it before next winter.

I got the truck back from the dealer. They ran an electrical systems check and found nothing wrong with the truck. I have no aftermarket add ons. I suppose it could be possible to get 3 bad batteries in 3 years but not likely. As of right now, I don't have a clue as to why the truck needs to be jump started when it gets cold.

does the truck sit alot? i havent been impressed with the motorcraft batterys in recent years, i just replaced mine with a napa battery, mine would die in the cold if it sat for a day or two. ive had issues with the MC i put in my ranger too, i dont think they make a good battery anymore.

No the truck is a daily driver. I live in Memphis so it doesn't get too cold however it can get down to the teen's in January. I replaced the motorcraft battery with a Duralast from Autozone and I've had to jump the truck 3 times in the last 4 to 5 weeks. I'm no mechanic but I've been told a battery can be slowly drained yet still have enough power to crank the truck until it gets really cold. At this time I have no idea what the problem is.
