Default 3in level issues

I have a '08 F150 which had terrible popping noise when i turned, slammed on the breaks, and when hitting bumps. At first i thought it was just ball joints so i replaced them, but after replacing them the noise still occurred. I had a buddy of mine turn the wheel and i discovered the noise was the spindle hitting the coil.... Apparently this is a big problem with 3in levels. i just decided to drop my truck anyway since its 2WD.... But
Does anyone else know what can break as a result or putting on a
3 in level?? Im sure i have alot
Of friends, family, and other viewers that would love to know.

I've had a 3inch hell bent steel leveling kit for over 50k miles. My truck is a 2wd 08 aswell. With no issues

I think mine was fine at 50k but when it hit 80k is when it started having the big problems. It felt as if the front end was going to come off. Do you have after market control arms?? I heard thats something you have to do if you go with a 3in.

It puts extra strain on all the front end componets which cause them to wear out prematurely. The higher the level the more of an angle everything is. I have a 2.5 in hbs and have had no issues.

I got a 3in level on my 04 4x4 for almost a year and not one problem. When I was researching all this before I bought I saw that the problems if they occur, really only happen to 4x4s and that 2wd should be perfectly fine with the 3" due to the 2wd does not have the same components of the 4x4s. IMO it might be something else going bad. I've never heard of a case like this. And I would double check everything is still tight and installed correctly. Something could be coming loose to make those problems. Just my .02$.

Yeah, ive heard it only happens on the 2wds because they dont have the 4x4 drive terrain to handle it. My cousin has a 3in on this 4x4 and its givin him no problems. But all the 2wds with the same set up have encountered all the same problems ive neen having. Idk
