I was wantin to put some 35's 315's prob 12 or 12.5" wide on my truck but i wasnt sure if the 3:55's would be the right gear for it. I have the 5.4 triton with an automatic. Thanks for the help.

I have heard mixed reviews. I have 35's with 3:73, my rpm at 65 mph is 2200. I feel the 3:73 gears are border line. at first the power loss was so much that I was thinking of a regear. but after I put the SCT programmer and Intake on, the power came back and I was happy. My MPG went down to 9mpg but after the SCT and intake the mpg went up 13 Around town driving.
Note: the tires do rob the fuel mpg it takes a lot of gas to get the big tire rolling. I like my tires worth the trade off

I have 285's (33") on my 2008 with 3.55's and a 5.4. No power issues, and MPG only dropped by about 1.

I ran 35's with stock 3.55 gears on my truck for 9 months after lifting. I had no issues other than the truck was sluggish and was constantly gear searching, especially climbing hills. You can certainly run them, but your truck's performance will decline. Adding the Yukon 4.56 gears is definitely one of the best mods I did to my truck.
