Question 33s question

Stuck a leveling kit on my truck and in the near future Ill be getting some new tires looking at 33s. The question I have is will I have to regear with 33s or is the stock gearing fine. I have a 2004 f150 lariat 4x4 if that makes a difference.

33's wont be a problem at all. I have 35's on a 2.5 HBS level and still have the stock 3.73 gears. They are fine but the only definite change is needed when you go to 37's.

What kind of problems do the 35's cause?

You just need to trim a little of the valence and in some cases the inner wheel fender so they dont rub. They are obviously a little rougher on the tranny but it can handle it. As long as you arent towing massive amounts often or drag racing it everyday.

so a 3.73 axle with 33s should actually get slightly better mpg, right?
