Default 33" BFgoodridge AT

I recently got a 2006 FX4 and it has the stock 275/65R18 wheels and tires on it. I want some 33" tires but want to stay with stock rims if that's possible. I really like the BFgoodridge AT as we also have lots of snow and ice where I'm at and I have read they do good there as well.

What tire width and size do I put on my truck to get me 33"?

I dont have to have BFgoodridge and if someone else knows a good AT that has similar performance I'm all ears.

I dont have a leveling kit installed and not sure I want too. I might in the future but what ever tire I put on has to work without one.

Thanks

I run the 305/65/18 BFG's (33's) with 1.5 leveling kit tire should fit but might slightly rub. There was a guy on the F150online forum who was running them with no leveling kit.

Default 33'' BFGs

I put 275/70/R18s under mine. Same 11'' width as your stockys, but 33.2'' tall. They Rock!!!

Looks like the 275/70R18 does NOT meet the severe snow conditions. That blows.

Exactly! That's what I just threw on my truck yesterday.

They don't, but from what I've seen, no BFG truck tire does. I've had these BFG's on my old '02 F150 here in CO and they were a dream to have in our severe snow storms. So even though I'd prefer to have the rating as a just in case, but from my previous experience these tires did excellent in the snow/ice. Take it for what its worth though.

Could I fit those without a leveling kit? I really like BFG all terrains and I'd like to step up to that size, but I don't want to level my truck because I do tow a lot. Also, what pressure do you run in them? I've been considering these for a long time and I'm almost ready to pull the trigger.

Of course I just had them installed on my 2006 F150 Screw 4x4 yesterday and they fit just fine and look good with no rub.

Due to no level the front wheel wells are filled a little more than the rear, but still plenty of clearance for towing. Then again, that may depend on the amount of weight you are putting in the bed and on the tounge. They are roughly 1" taller than the stock tires (32.1" vs 33.2") But I foresee no issues, unless if you have a 4x2. Not exactly sure of the clearance on a 2 wheel drive.

Don't know about the fit, but I have been running BFG AT's for years, and they are one of the best snow tires I have ever had.
With them under the truck, I wouldn't worry no matter how bad the conditions were. They will find their way under my new truck as soon as the current tires wear out.

Heres my list from my 05.

2" a.s. leveling kit

285 75 18's, (35.1") toyo m/t's

305 60 18 nitto terra grapplers (32.5")

305 65 17 pro comps xterrains (32")

285 70 17 nitto terra grapplers (33")

All these fit no rubbing, even the 35's. The best size for look, price, function where hands down the 285 70 17 nittos. Unfortunately the dealer made me give them up when i traded it...

The nittos were awesome in the winter, and all around great. They were only 799.00, compared to the bfg like 1300 ish also..

just a thought. Btw some advice, dont buy muds, and dont go bigger then 33's. That is unless you want your mpg down the drain. I was getting 8mpg, with a tuner, which is why they all went and were replaced with the 33" nittos.

Try the 285x65x18 (32.7) BFG and I think Nitto makes this size.
