Default 2v or 3v?

I have a 05 f150 4.6lstx Is my truck a 2v or 3v engine? Thanks. I'm getting ready to order new coils and plugs and had no idea what I have.

I'm new to the 4.6l I really miss my diesel right about now.

also how do you know what transmission you have if ford won't stamp it on the trans. I would love to be able to identify what trans I have.
My problem started about two days ago. Seemed like the trans was slipping in OD and around 40-50mph. lock out OD and it goes away. I can hold my foot at the same place on flat ground on the throttle though and the truck just surges up and down. I can lay into the throttle and it goes away. I know trans will slip less the more line pressure is put on the Valve body/clutches, but the it may be the coils as well. I'm hoping for coils since the trans only has 24000 miles on it. If it does happen to be the trans though I think I'm going to order one through monstertrans. I just don't know which one I have. Man I hope its a coil

It should have a 4R70E Transmission if I'm thinking correctly.

I thought it was either that or the 4r70w. I don't know why ford has to make things so complicated.

Well your story sounds similar to mine. I have a 04 and it shudders going down the road when giving gas after 40 mph. But I was told that the torque converter isnt locking they sell some stuff at autozone and probably some other places its called dr.tranny shudder fix I havent did mine yet but I,figured id tell you bout and by the way my tranny was just rebuilt 2 months ago. And mine goes away like yours if I hit the od button.

That makes no sense that you would need a transmission fluid additive if your transmission was just rebuilt. Take it back and have it diagnosed before you add the dr. tranny. That will void any warranty on the transmission.
