2017 Raptor Wheels
#2
I have the exact same question. Picked up a set of new Raptor wheels and tires, 315 70 17 and am trying to figure out what options I have to get this setup to fit without any rubbing or premature wear to front end components...

The local shop I've used before recommended a Procomp front strut kit that has a 2.5" front lift to make this work. He said I'd probably have some rubbing with the wide 315 tires, and it's just a matter of how much I can tolerate. I'll probably go this route with the Procomp matching rear shock. The truck has about 305K miles on it, and is on the factory struts/shocks so it's about time anyway for shocks and struts anyway.
Any recommendation on the best way to keep some rake with a 1" rear lift. I used a Coachbuilder rear replacement shackle on my Tundra to lift the rear about 1.25", keep some rake, and help improve the ride after I lifted the front 2.5" with Bilstein 6112s. I'm not sure the best way on a F-150, does somebody make a 1" rear lift shackle, or would an add a leaf add some height with a better ride on this truck

I can't say I've ever heard anyone say "add a leaf" and "better ride" in the same sentence. Bilstein sells a front strut with stock, 1 and 1.5 lift settings. I just replaced my front struts and springs. It rode like a tank for about 300 miles. The springs I guess had to get some use. It feels much better now.

Ended up going with the Rancho 9000 XL shocks in the rear with a 1" lift block and the Rancho 9000 XL Front strut assembly in the front which gave me 2.5" lift up front. The tires cleared all the plastic fender liner up front except for about the last .5" of the air dam below the front bumper, which would rub when backing up and cranking the wheels. Used a Leister to heat this plastic up and bend at a 45 degree angle back forward away from the tires and now everytw everything clears 100%.

Thank you. Been very happy with the result, get lots of complements on the truck. The first pic is of my kids when I picked them up from summer camp after putting the wheels on, they walked right by the truck b/c they didn't even recognize it!
