Default 2008 misfire/problem?

my 08 shakes bad anymore around 40-50 mph and hesitates super bad and bucks. Now Ive read it could be a misfire and I might just need to change the coil over on that cylinder. I travel alot and I have to get this done asap. Its a bad shake with some bucking and a dragging feel like you dont have traction.

Replace your FPDM. One bad plug/coil will give you a rough ride, but what you're describing sounds more like a bad FPDM.

I think its a coil (cop)... If you have a CEL or not, go get your codes read... The code may pinpoint the affected cylinder.

An FPDM is a Fuel Pump Driver Module...this box above the spare tire area rots out and causes dozens of drivability issues... The revised part spaces the FPDM off the frame where the original version rots. It's worth a look, but your symptoms sound more like a COP (coil on plug) or a spark plug.

There are no wires. Just a coil on top of the plug. Unscrew 1 bolt holding it down and pull it off. Head to autozone or your local parts store in the AM and get your codes read.. It will tell which cylinder is the issue and just buy a new COP while your there.. You should be able to drive away misfire free after you swap out the problem COP...it takes about 2 min to fix.
