Default 2008 5.4 stalling when warm

Hi I have a 2008 f150 with the 5.4, recently it has starting stalling and running really ruff when warm. I've taken it to 2 different shops and they both have said I need a new engine. I find this hard to believe so though I would see if anyone here has any ideas
thanks

It has 220000 kms it has ver low oil pressure and not sure of the history as my son just bought it 4 months ago a private sale. I think he got ripped off for $6000 but nothing we can do as it was private sale and the previous owner just ripped him off

Run a oil flush through it to see if oil pressure improves. The oil passages in the 5.4s are small and can get clogged.

"oil flush" is vague and a terrible idea depending on what product you use. I stand by Kreen. It dissolves sludge SLOWLY and doesn't dry seals. Don't use SeaFoam in the oil no matter what the instructions say.
