Default 2007 Ignition Wire

I recently installed an aftermarket navigation/dvd player into my 2007 Lincoln Mark LT. I have a backup camera installed that WAS working. I wired the camera power to the ignition wire in the driver's side floor sill. It was a green/yellow wire. Before I hooked it up I verified that it was ignition power. The test light would light up when I turned the key on and go out when I turned the key off.

My backup camera has stopped working and I have verified the problem to be no power. I check the same wire with my test light and there is NO power anymore. Everything else in my truck still seems to work? What fuse do I need to check? Could it be under the hood? I checked all fuses in passenger kick panel that have anything to do with ignition and they are all good.

Any ideas? I'm not sure what to do.

I doubt it was the Ignition wire...that would not run through the floor sill...do you have any tail lights out ?? third brake light ??

I haven't checked the tail lights/brake lights. All I know is that the wire was powered when I turned the key on and no power with the key off. I was thinking that meant it was ignition. As you can tell I don't really know a lot about wiring.

My goal was to have the camera work in reverse and also be able to turn it on at any time while going forward. I had it all working but I think I may have blown a fuse. I'll keep checking fuses. It's a bitch getting at the fuses in these trucks!

This truck is starting to scare me. I went home at lunch to give it another shot and all is well. It's working exactly as it's supposed to and I have power in that wire now.

I connected my reverse camera to the black/pink stripe wire. This is the reverse light wire. This way, the camera is on only when the transmission is in reverse.

Unless you want to be able to view the rear when driving....
