2006 Lariat AC not so cool
I have a 2006 Lariat that when it is hot in the summer the AC just does not blow that cold. Now if I'm on an extended road trip after an hour or so it will finally cool down but just for those quick less than half hr trips I can't seem to get it cooled down enough for my liking. I've had it in the shop and all is fine with the AC system. Even had it recharged to no avail. Anyone have this issue with their 2006?

I've heard that some f150's have less than desirable cooling. Do you have it on recirculated or fresh air setting?

I know that mine doesn't feel as cool on shorter trips either, especially on hot days. The AC will only cool down the ambient temperature so much. The reason for running recirculated is so that the AC can pull the cab air that is currently being cooled to make it cooler.(HVAC experts correct me if I'm wrong. lol) I could only imagine that on a super hot day, this process still takes time. Apologies if you knew this already, guess I'm trying to justify your situation.

Of course, our A/C systems could just suck.

Ford has messed with the AC's in the F150's. The coldest vent temp I ever got in my 08, was 40 degrees and was told by an expert that this temp, was an exception and he never saw anything better than 44.
My 13 is horrible, it cycles at 44 and rises to 48, then back. In Houston this wont get it.
Tint your windows, if you havent already!
