2006 F-150 4.6 engine swap question
Does anyone know what year engine will properly fit into my 2006 XLT 4x4 4.6L? I'm looking for a plug and play swap, don't want to deal with any mods and pcm replacement. I was under the impression that only 2004-2006 will work but a guy at the junk yard says 2008 will work. Anyone has any input?

As long as the motor came out of a truck it should work. If it came out of a car, there may be an issue with variable timing.
