Default 2004 transmission problem

Just talked to my buddy who pulled my engine and rebuilt it and he drove my truck home for the weekend to make sure it's running right before I pick it up on Monday and just before he got home the O.D. Started blinking and a message started saying transfault. He's going to hook the code scanner up to it on Sunday and pull the codes but I thought I would check on here to see if anyone had seen this before.

My truck did the same but I had an edge and it was the reason that came on. Sold it and I've been trouble free since. How's the fluid look? Is it still shifting at all ?

Shifting fine just like before we pulled the engine. Thinking it must be a wire or sensor that may have gotten damaged when he pulled the engine or put it back in

Well into it today and the knuckle head helper he had helping reinstall the engine didn't check a connector for moisture and plugged it back in without blowing it out blew it out and reconnected and no more problems. Really glad it was something stupid and not a serious issue,.
