Unhappy 2004 FX400: Please Help!

Ok my 2004 FX400 is in bad shape. she's my baby and i refuse to let her go! I was in an accident about a year ago and took it to someone to have it fixed, it was someone i was referred to and i had seen his work before so i didnt hesitate. well 2 weeks later i still didnt have my truck and i called and called and needed it for commuting. he said it wasnt finished and blah blah and he already had my money for parts...$1200. Well i get my truck and he RUINED it.

The whole front end is custom and all after market from Ford. He said the company went out of business and he would have to fabricate the peice with fiber glass (since thats the way its made) on his own. When I got it back fiber glass was thrown on there and there is bubbles and unpainted. He also decided to sand and bondo the left side and not paint it. He kept the grill and, brush bar and lights.

I told him i would come back and he could finish it, but i never did because i had a PROFESSIONAL look at it and said all the work was cheap. So im out $1200 and left with an unfinished truck.

Can anyone help!

Sorry to hear that man. You should at least go back and get your grill, bar, and lights.

if it's a ligament business you should be able to find a listing in the phone book. You can also do a reverse look up on the phone number unless it's a cell number.

You should at least be able to take him to court to get your stuff and get him to finish the work correctly or at least get your money back.

Sounds to me like your only recourse will be to take his name and cell number to the police. If you file theft charges, they could track him down through the phone number.

Sorry for your luck...

There might be a fraud unit at the police station. Or maybe one of those investigative people from the local tv station?
