i recently purchased a 2004 F150 and found out that it had been programmed with a power programmer and i was wondering how to reset the pcm so that i could put the power programmer that i purchased into the vehicle and know what was actually put onto the truck. when i went to the dealer they said that they would not put the factory tune back onto it because they said that if there was a power programmer tune already put onto the vehicle then it could mess with the truck if i take it off. how can i get them to flash the pcm so i can put my power tuner on the truck? Any info you can pass on would be greatly appreciated.

 

well i had this problem on my f350 but when i bought my programmer for it i did not no that it had a tune in it. so i put the progammer in. after i did that my truck would not turn over so i got it towed to the dealer. they said they can do a flash and put it back to stock so they sould do it say that it will not run and get them to put the stock program in.
