I installed a new starter last winter. Recently I have had trouble starting from time to time. I finally figured out that where my solenoid wire hooks to the solenoid is broken/cracked. I can wiggle the solenoid wire and see the crack and see it move. The solenoid is mounted on the solenoid. The connection seems to hook to a small plate that may be riveted?? My question is can I just replace the solenoid. I noticed 2 Phillips head screws on the tail end of the solenoid. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
