Just curious about this. The 2004 through 2013 F150 look basically the same besides some facelift and cosmetic details but the actual structure of the truck seems the same, frame, suspension, and alot of the cab design. Is the frame and suspension layout basically the same from 2004 all the way to 2013?

 

As far as I know, the frame, suspension and chassis is basically the same. Just a more aerodynamic body for the 2009 and up, and nice contour lines so the bodywork doesn't pop in when you lean against it. And of course engine and transmission changes for 2009, and then again in 2012. (2009 added 3 valve 4.6 with 6 speed tranny)

 

For the most part its the same, the 2004-08 did have aluminum lower control arms, which were not carried over into the 2009+ models....just a small detail though
