2" level? 2.5?
Hey guys I've been reading the forums here for a while but I've never posted before. I have been wanting to level my 05 f150 screw 4x4 but I'm still left with the worry of screwing up the ball joints or other things up front. Is there anyway I can level it without having that concern? If not how long does it take before you start to see wear? What kit would you all recommend? Thanks for the help!
You should be good with either one of those. Some guys have problems with the 3" wearing out their ball joints and stuff while at the same time there are a lot of guys that run the 3" with no problems at all. HBS is a good kit. I have just a solid billet aluminum 2.5" kind of wish I would have gone with a 3".

Anything bigger than 2.5 and I would be concerned about the front looking higher than the rear. Even 2.5 on some looks too much, and if u ever have anything in the bed it will be higher. Personally i'd do 2.0, just cause it will looks level and will not be higher when you have stuff in the bed, like 300 lbs all winter like me. But if you never haul anything 2.5 will look good.
I put a 2.5 autospring on my '04 FX4 supercab. It sits perfect now. I've read where the '04-'05's have more factory rake to them than the '06-'08's. I put my kit on a couple weeks ago and had it aligned.
I have a 2.5" HBS on mine and it made the front sit higher, so I put an extra inch in the rear. It's not completely level, but it has just a slight rake. Much better than stock though, and it's higher all around which is good.

i have the 3'' steel kit from hbs and it made mt truck sit perfectly even unless you count an 1/8'' as enough to worry about. i would reccoment he 3'' if and only if you have a long bed the shorter wheel base tends to bull dog if you put the three on it which is why i am buying air bags for the back now on mine i will post pics when my camera charges this morning
