Default 2.5" or 3" Level... Need a straight answer

I've got my 35x11.50 tires coming and I don't know if I should get the 2.5" or the 3" leveling kit. I did some searching and the consensus is that the 3" causes too much stress and wear and tear on the suspension and that the 2.5" is the way to go. My questions are: Does the 3" really tear up the front suspension after a while? And will the 2.5" provide enough clearance for the 35" toyos? Will the 2.5" provide enough playroom for some light to moderate off-roading? Thanks

I've had my 3 inch leveling kit on for about 15,000 miles now and not a single problem yet.

That's refreshing to know considering I want to go with the 3". What brand did you go with? I'm considering Hell Bent Steel.

I have heard Hell Bent Steel is a good product. But that's just what I've heard and read..

Hopefully more will chime in with experience with different brands.

on a 4x4 a 2"level is more then enough so a 2.5" will do just fine I've also heard that a 3" will put undo stress on the front end also, but I believe Auto Spring came out with a 3" that is not suppose to do this I would check out them. I have a 2" auto spring on mine I haven't had any problems and they are cheap too $69

Well before both my 6" lift and before my 12" lift, I had a Truxx Kit which is a 3" leveling kit in the front and a 1" block in the rear. It looked really good with 35's so thats what I recomend. The whole kit is around $425 before installation.

Won't a 3 inch leveling kit make the front end sit a tad higher ? I installed a 2.5 and mine sits perfectly level. I think the 35's are gonna rub ...

I have the 2.5 inch Hell Bent Steel for about 500 miles. Love it. My mechanic said it looked very solid and was easy to put on, and that the welds looked strong. All I have heard of Hell bent Steel so far is good things. and it's cheap....$69+ free shipping on ebay.

I have the 2.5" and mine sits level, I would be afraid to go 3" just because the front end will sit a little higher.
