I have the Hell Bent steel. The only thing about going with the 2.5 is I have heard 35's will rub with that but with the 3 inch they are clear. I have the 3 inch HBS and I dont think my truck front looks higher. Check out my album in my profile.

this is mine with a 3" ready lift. i never did any offroading with the leveling kit on but it was on the truck for 7 months without causing any problems.

heres the front axle angle on level ground, if you go offroading the angle could get pretty steep and the upper control arm will probably rub the coil spring.

view from the front

view from behind the front tire

I went with the HBS 3in and a 3in block in the rear. 35" Nitto Terra love the lift wish i would have went with a more agressive tire.

From what I can tell, the 3" kit causing problems is a forum myth. Someone at sometime said it and now people accept it as fact. I just did it on my 05' screw. My buddy did 105,000 miles ago and no premature failure of any suspension or steering components to speak of.

no rubbing at all during normal driving. just drove out too my fathers farm and did a little off-roading and had minor rubbing twice and that was going through a deep ditch on an angle.
