1991 to 2008
Well, I gave my 1991 F-150 4.9 5-speed to my brother for his high school graduation, and reclaimed my 2008 F150 4.6L Supercab, and what a difference! Power, comfort, ride quality, driveability- my only regret is not doing this earlier!

I parked my 91 F150 4.9 liter 5 speed beside the house to use as a garbage can. 
And upgraded to a 2004 F150 lariat. Many posts about the 04 mechanical issues of which I am no stranger to, cam phaser, IWE issue, funny whines and noises from various ends of the pickup, but I still like to drive it. The 91 has it beat all to hell in mechanical reliability though. Hope your 08 treats you a little better!

Shame on you! I miss my '92 4.9 that a cell phone driver destroyed (nearly killed me at the same time). I have a '06 SCAB 4.6 now and have to admit it's a world of difference.
I went to basic/AIT at Bliss, and was in Ridgecrest last week! Small world.
