Default 09+ tailgate badge

Hey I'm looking to get new all new fender and tailgate badges for my 05 f150. I want to get the 09+ badges and saw that there was two different badges for the tailgate. There are ones with "clips" and ones with "alignment pins". Which one would work for our style trucks?

Heres the links to show you:

or

Thanks.

Get the one with alignment pins. The other type is shaped different to fit the new style sides tailgate groove, while the alignment pin ones are for the new flare sides which has a flat tailgate like our body style.

Would the pin badge work for front fenders as well?

No. The emblem pins on the 09 and up do not align with the holes in the early (pre 09) fenders.

All I did though was cut them with a pair of snips, and applied them. Just use some masking tape on the fenders to use as a guide to get them straight.

There are 09-12 badges that do work on our 04-08 trucks. Not sure if it is the same ones Bucko is talking about though. I ordered mine from Tasca and a buddies as well and they both fit directly into the fenders. They must be different ones then what Bucko is talking about though
