Have a 2004 Lariat. Two questions on mirrors. Will the trailer tow mirrors I see on a lot of 09+ trucks fit on our trucks, with the power functions still intact? Also, if I decide to keep the regular size mirrors, I would like to have the regular mirrors that are on 09+ trucks with the painted to match skull caps. Will these fit on 04-08? And are the wire harnesses the same?

Pretty sure they make a tow mirror for the 04-08. Just was not put on many trucks. I bet you could find am eBay or Amazon set.

 

Is the mounting holes/shape the same for the 04-08 as the 09+?

there plug and play off the 09+. same bolt pattern. the only thing that may not work is the defroster or the turn signal.

 

Bummer. Well thanks for the info. What do you guys know about the PowerFold mirrors? Will they integrate with the original harness? For example, can you change the power mirror switch/joystick out and get the PowerFold mirrors and they will work?

I have 09+ tow mirrors and they're awesome only thing is when you signal your defroster light blinks inside the cab #weird feedback

 

I had this issue when I switched to towing mirrors on my 05 lariat. All you have to do is switch one of the wires on the pigtail on the truck for the mirrors and it will fix that. Same goes for the new style mirrors as well. They just switched the layout of the pins.
