Default 09+ bed swap?

im sure this has been covered but i searched it and couldnt find any info on it. Any one know what has to be done to put an 09+ bed onto an 04 xlt supercab? I have welding and plasma cutting equipment if its not a direct fit, im just wondering if anyone has tryed it and what they found? thanks

Im pretty sure the wheel arches on the 09+ are different from ours. So even if it "fit" they would look mismatched.

Yes it can be done there are a few on here who have done a raptor conversion.... You can buy fiberglass parts to do that or the real thing.... I'll see if I can find that thread and post it back... Would at least give you an idea what's involved... But definitely the wheel are are different, though with flares that difference should be minimized in appearance I would think.

Edit: here is the link- https://www.f150forum.com/f115/king-...-build-159870/

Pg 11-12 shows pics of the bed.

Why did I swap beds you mean? I had rust problems around the rear wheel wells on an otherwise rust free truck. I had it fixed twice and it kept coming back. And for a couple hunderd buck more than having new bed sides put on I bought a brand new 2013 bed. plus I really like the look of the 09+ tailgate and lights

I remember a thread where somebody in the NE area had done the swap. It was a white truck. Iseem to recall them saying it was a pretty straight forward bolt on...

Yup it should fit. I considered it until I realized the front fenders won't match.
