Hi, I was looking through here for info on if anyone has 08 mirrors on the 04 body style? i was told they will not fit but i see f150 that appear to be 04's with them on. looks great. These trucks also have 8' beds as well which i am understanding was phased out for the new style after 04. is this correct?

First off, is your 04 a new body style?...(not like the 97-03's)

Second what 08 mirrors are you taking about? The towing mirrors?

The 8' bed was not phased, you can get it the the heavy duty f-150 only.

 

I have the new body style not the heritage style. Can you still buy heavy duty F150's with the 8' bed? And yes I was talking about the tow mirrors. If they will bolt on but need a plug change to get power thats not a big deal for me.

yes, you still can buy them. New for 09 or 2010 I believe you can get the heavy duty in a crew cab too.

Yes, the towing mirrors will bolt right up. I did the swap on mine. Just have to move a few pins, not to hard.

Great! because i hate the passenger side mirror as it is. How do you purchase the heavy duty? I searched ford.com and i see that 2 models (XL and XLT) offer the 8' box. I know this thread is about mirrors but i am disapointed about only getting the 6.5' bed when i could have got the 8'
bed.

 

The highest trim level you can get the 8' is an XLT...My neighbor has one two doors down from me....silver in color.

 

I wish a set of towing mirrors would just arrive at my door steps, or in the back of my truck. I love the look of them. On my 04 I have the power/turn mirrors. Do the towing mirrors still have blinkers on them? Will my harness enable the puddle lamps or does that need to wired up seperatly.

 

Yes, they have signals. (power, heat, signals, & puddle)

You will need to move a ground pin to make them work. You will also need to wire in the puddle lamp if you want it, I did and love them.

 

If you dont mind me asking how much did they run ya? Finding a set in a junkyard is gonna be damn near impossible
