People including me post to old threads at times
Sometimes knowingly
It all started with the 4.6 in 1990 or so
Took one look at the pressed on lobes of the hollow camshafts and thought WTF
Working for Ford always was job security
Those modular motors were made to be cheap not reliable
Replace, replace, replace is Fords motto
They always told us they make more on parts sales than new vehicle sales company wide
And it's true?
In 1997 they (Ford) made 10k on every expedition sold (we were told) and they sold a ton of them
By now every 97 Expedition sold has had 15k worth of parts put on it?
Check for codes techrep
Remove both valve covers, inspect the valve train components closely
Turn it over and inspect the valve movements and inspect the springs again
Somewhere to start, go from there
Check the compression
Inspect or replace the spark plugs and the coil boots if it has been a while

Manic: #2 sparkplug looks to be sheared off, now I'm still trying to figure that out but I'll know more as soon as this old body will let me pull the engine, ( it won't turn over is why I'm pulling the engine)
codes are P0340 and P0302

This scares me more than anything. There's a good chance that any auto part, especially sparkplugs, gotten off of Amazon are fake counterfeit and not a very good counterfeit. This is especially true for older vehicles because has ample time has passed to be able to make a bad cheap copy.
After putting in sparkplugs I got off of Amazon, 3 of them failed breaking apart in various ways inside the cylinder at various times in the first few thousand miles. After the third one failed, I replaced all with sparkplugs from a brick and mortar AutoZone. Guess I was lucky as I've had no ill effects. I'm afraid to borescope the cylinders because if I don't see issues or feel issues then it must not exist.
There's an awesome writeup by @F150Torqued about the P0340 and P0345 codes. He explains in detail what they mean, how the cam phaser works, and what is broken. I highly recommend reading his post for understanding.

Sorry, I did not realize it was seized up
All you can do is tear down and inspect
Going to be tough to get the converter nuts off
