Default 06 Studder

Well I have some ideas on what the issue is from searching but would like some 1 on 1 action with the issue.

I have a 2006 5.4 with 75,xxx on it and it had 2 issues. 1 issue threw a code that went back to the idle. I have a k&n filter so i assumed it was the mass that needed to be cleaned and it seemed to do the trick alot smoother.

The other problem happens when your cruising and you kick it into passing gear. The truck's speed does climb but studders and bucks all the way..then it normally throws a flashing check engine light. Once i turn the truck off and restart it the light is gone and it drives just like normal. Even though I was hoping it might just be a dirty throttle body Im taking a quess that its prolly the plugs or coils since they havent been changed...Would like to hear what you guys think..

Thanks
Zach

have you cleaned and oiled the K&N filter yourself? sometimes when people do it themselves they put WAY TO MUCH oil on them and that causes issues at speed and under heavy throttle

id try running a take of premium through it and putting in some fuel system cleaner. do you get gas at the same place all the time? if so id try getting gas from a different place just to make sure.

I run E10 all the time (89 octane) because i live in nebraska and its the cheapest.

hmmm..have you checked on the throttle position sensor(TPS)? might not be opening all the way and choking the engine. also might wanna try cleaning your throttle body....

Nope havent checked on the tps yet might have to do that and im gonna clean the throttle body 2 morrow just to get it out of the way just wouldnt think that a dirty throttle body would make that much of a difference but doesnt hurt to clean it anyways
