Default 06 fuel filter

Am the proud owner of an 06 scab with 140k and it's never had a fuel filter change. It runs perfect so should I change it or leave well enough alone. If I change it, what will I notice, if anything?

Like it is cheap to fix now as it would maybe cause bigger problems down the road...

You should probably change it every 40,000km or so. Going that high with the original fuel filter isn't good. Even with brand name, high octane fuel you'll still get contaminants trapped in there. If it's clogged you'll have a harder time starting up your truck and the fuel pump has to work harder to send the fuel to your injectors. I picked one up from the Ford dealer last week and I'll be posting my install pics sometime shortly when the weather gets better.
