Hey guys new the the forum and need some advice. My 06 f150 has 70,000 miles on it and recently started to shutter in OD under a slight pull until it downshifts. Would this mean torque converter slipage?

Probably more likely to be an ignition problem. Coil pack or plugs.

i know someone who has an '05 lariat scab at 80k with original plugs that has the exact same symptoms as yours and insists he has a transmission problem. he just needs to change his plugs.

I thought the same thing when I bought my truck. I was 50 miles away from the dealership when it started to miss and cut out.
It was a 600 mile trip home in the new truck pulling a 5000lb boat and I thought for sure it was going to be the tranny. Called the dealership I bought it from and they asked if I could bring it to my local dealer for a evaluation. 3 coils, 8 spark plugs, and 2 injectors later, truck runs like a champ.
Some how I had good enough luck that day, the selling dealership picked up the bill for all the work. Even after I signed the "as is where is" paper. If your wondering where the dealership is, it is 5 star ford in Plano TX. Ill be making the 600 mile trip back to order my 2012 when they come out.
I have an 07 that shutters in OD too and only does it at 40 to 50 mph when the RPM's drop to around 1200 or basically when it's in overdrive. Sounds like this a common problem! It could be a misfire, but you would think it would misfire more than at low RPM. I have oversize tires, so I bet this didn't help with the tranny problem if that's what it is, but still interested in others who have the same problem. Also I only have 71K miles on the truck! It would nice if it was easy to change plugs to eliminate that possible cause!

Im going to state this one more time..... The way to rule out a torque convert issue: When the truck is shuddering, lightly tap the brake pedal. Tapping the brake disengages the lock up on the torque converter. Did the shudder go away? If it did they its likely the converter. Didnt go away? Not the converter....

06 f-150 transmission valve body part location .need help
not sure if this is where i would post this. But I have a 06 f-150 and for the life of me I've been looking online for the past 2 days trying to figure out where this piece goes as I had forgot when I was taking out the valve body. If anyone know Can anyone tell me where this part goes, it's from where I took the valve body out of my 06 f150.
