Default 06 F150 Cat problems

Alright, so I bought an 06 f150 with 67k on it. Had a skip to start out with. Ended up changing plugs and a couple coils and it went away. The night after i changed all of that, shot a code for Bank 2 Catalyst below efficiency or whatever it is. Cleared it a couple times, came back within a day.
I have been told it could be plugged cat or o2 sensor. Any ideas as to where to start the troubleshooting process?
Also, my cousin recently told me to just punch out the rear set of cats, that would obviously send a code but would liven up the 5.4 a little bit.
Any suggestions as to little more power other than tearing the engine apart?
Thanks,
Jordan

You could start with temporarily removing the cats and see how it runs then. Also I don't think permanently removing the rear cats would cause any codes as all four of the O2 sensors are before them.

I was under the impression the o2 was read by the back pressure from the cat.

Inform your cousin that its against Federal law to tamper, destroy, or remove any smog or federally required equipment. Try to trade or sell it, and you can be held liable for fines and fees, regardless of any state inspections or local laws.

Post the actual code on this thread if you need additional help. Or, simply post the code in the Google window for steps to resolve the code.

Your 2006 should only have two cats up front, the 04-05s had four of them. Change the O2 sensor first, if that doesn't work, get the Magnaflow replacement cats.

I've read this on lots of posts and it is not true. My 2005 only has two cats.

The code it's throwing is P0430, catalyst below efficency threshold.
I haven't really had it up on a lift but all the diagrams I've seen looks like it has 4 cats.

No need for a lift. Pop your head under and look
