I just got a used 04 FX4 and am going to get a leveling kit, which size 2 or 2.5? Does the 2.5 place any added stress on the suspension vs. the 2? I will go with the majority here.

 

Im in the same situation. im thinking im going to go w/ a 2" just because i dont want to go "past level" w/ it and i dont want to put to much strain on the system. so im going to go w/ 2" next spring w/ tax money gets here. I also need to get a tonneau cover someday too.

so to make a long story short id say 2"

 

My 04 Lariat needed the 2 1/2" kit to level because the rear sat so high from the factory. Kit's been in over 5 year's with no problems.
