Default 02 Senser

So I took my truck to a exhaust shop and they said I wouldnt be able to get true dual because of a 02 senser that is behind the y-pipe that leads to the muffler. Does anyone know if this is true?

Not true...they can weld in the mount for the sensor anywhere you want it. Find another shop.

Just make sure when you re-locate that sensor...that's it's in the same spot or very close to where it was in the Y pipe. It's the down stream sensor I'm guessing. 08 should have 2 O2 sensors...if I'm not mistaking

How would you turn it off ?? O2 sensor feed info to your ECU...you would have to install a simulator or something like that to trick the ECU. Don't think your tunner will do that...my EDGE don't.

I didn't do true duals because of the price and hassle. No one will know that you have true duals so not worth it in my opnion but then again I didn't want to spend the money for it either.

I think having true dual will complete the look of a more aggressive truck that im going for instead of haveing a "beauty queen" truck. also i just love the way duals make heads turn

We have the same truck as you know and I bet my truck is just as loud as yours when you get it done. No one can see that you have true duals.
