Default Wonky Driver's Side Mirror

Like the title implies...I've got an electronic drivers side mirror that seems to have grown a mind of its own. Just about every time I get back into the truck its pointing in another direction

I'm open to suggestions! Is there a fuse I can pull?!

I've noticed that the position changing of the mirror occurs when I press the unlock button on my FOB.

I tried to do my due diligence and research a bit so here's what I've got/tested thus far;

Tried setting both seat memory positions to the same thing - no luck

How lightly or gently or hard I slam the door makes no difference

The mirror position **** is not moving while driving under any road condition

I deactivated the entry assist some time ago

My truck does not have automatically folding mirrors

The truck has been reflashed

Does it go back to the same wrong position? Or is it always in random positions?
Did you ever remove it for any reason..? Is it loose or does it feel like it's clicked into the motor securely?

Without 5 more questions, if your confident removing it. I'd get the motor centered and re-install it.
I'm sure disconnecting the battery will be a suggestion as well.
Sorry one more, is the adjustment switch in the neutral position

It goes back to it's programmed position sometimes -- if it doesn't it's a random place every time it goes somewhere else.

It's never been removed
It doesn't feel loose but I'll double check!
It doesn't matter if the switch is in the neutral position or in L or R position, the problem will occur in any position.

I'll have to check out some videos on the removal. Do you have any suggestions?

The best advice I can give you is watch as many videos as it takes, till you feel comfortable removing the mirror.
I don't want to advise you and then have the thing break.. I'll feel terrible and you'll be pissed.

Once you understand where the tabs are, by looking behind the mirror from the bottom and from each side, it'll be very easy after the first time.

It's definitely a daunting task considering the cost of these mirrors.
What I can say is if the mirror is starting to bend at all, STOP! and release the tabs some more.
There should be no real effort when you're removing it.

When it comes time to reinstall the mirror. Make sure the motor is dead center and press with you fingers in the same diameter circle as the clips are spaced on the back of the mirror.
The very first time I put my mirror back on, I didn't center the motor and didn't have all the clips seated. Thanks to the heat wires it didn't hit the ground when I closed the door and it popped off.

My passenger side mirror was doing the same thing about a month ago. I pulled the fuse associated with the mirrors and let it sit out for about 5 minutes. After I reinstalled the fuse, I didn't experience any more problems. The fuse is in the panel behind the passenger side kick panel. The fuse number is listed in the owners manual.

Going to try the fuse first, then the other second.

I appreciate the responses, boys!

I would definitely try the fuse or battery disconnect first. Nothing to lose there.
Hope you figure it out..

After doing a quick look through my manual it looks like I'm looking to pull fuse #5?

Rougen123, You might try taking a look at the thread I have just posted, incase you have not bit the bullet and bought new mirrors since your thread (I realize its an old topic for you). I had same issues and finally decided to do something about it, so have provided my solution.
