I've heard the windshield for Platinum is diff from the other models. So...my question is when you need to replace your windshield, how to you make sure to get the special one?

Soundscreen windshield is made by Carlite, who makes all Ford windshields. Should not be a problem as long as you get an OEM windshield.

I assume you have rain sensing wipers. If so, make sure the wind shield has the spot for the adapter above your rear view mirror.

I have broke two in 7 months on a 2012 Last one was an Acoustic Guard. The new one is probably going to be a Sound Screen OEM model. It may be in my head, but I thought the Acoustic Guard had more wind noise around the A pillar area. I was quoted $305 for the AG and $360 for the Carlite Sound Screen.
