Default Windshield Defroster not working

I'm not getting any discharge of air from the windshield defrosting ports. Regardless of settings , no air is coming out. I thought maybe a fuse but there is no listing for a specific fuse for that. 2011 F150 302 engine.

There are 3 port areas, are you getting air from the other 2? Defrost, vent, foot.

The heating system works as it should except for the windshield discharge ports. All other ports have good discharge of hot air.

Have you tried a battery disconnect for 15 minutes?

I haven't tried that but will give it a shot. It's odd the every thing else works as it should in the heating system. This just recently became an issue.

Does the defrost indicator come on? Does air blow out the other ports when set to defrost only?

Everything in the system works , except the windshield defroster ports. No air is being discharged from the windshield ports, air is being discharged from the all the other ports regardless of what the settings are.

You may have a blend door actuator problem. Depending on what climate system you have, there could be four actuators. The one that controls the defrost, floor, dash just went on me, but I haven't had the time get it fixed. In my case, I have the Nav. system with the electronic climate control. Air only blows out the dash vents no matter where I set the controls. I need to replace the actuator that is down by the throttle pedal. Sounds like you may have the same issue. By default, as I understand it, there is always a bit of air that blows at both the floorboard and defrost no matter the setting. Search for blend door actuator under the search. A lot of info can be found. Also, in my research, Buy Factory Ford Actuators. In nearly all cases, I found those who bought aftermarket actuators still have problems. Cost for actuator is 45.00- 60.00 ish..
