Default Window foam falling off!!

noticed this on day I got truck, salesman said he will take care of it, service is trying to tell me that it is normal. Then my last visit they told me just to pull it off that it is not needed. Anyone else with the same issue? This is where the front of the dash meets the window.

mine has been similar (not as bad tho) to that since i bought it. little stuff like that doesn't bother me like it used to. but it is simply there to keep the dash from squeaking against the windshield, so technically it is not needed.

Mine was the same way when I purchased my truck. Took it back the next day to get it fixed which they did. I'm pretty sure they just shoved it back down with a screw driver though.

there's a thread about this already actually

my 2010 started doing it about 2 months after I bought it too, but only on the driver's side, and not quite as bad as yours is

took it to the dealership too, and they told me the same thing; it's not needed

I told them to just not touch it then, and when it comes up more I'll rip it out, which I actually had no intention of doing and I was actually going to take it to ANOTHER dealership and see what they would say...

I ended up not going to the other dealership though... I left it be for about a week, before I just reached in there and ripped out the little spot that was sticking up...

it hasn't crept up any more, but as it does, I'm just going to rip it off; I see no need for it there anyhow

Push it down or rip it out. I took my truck in and had it replaced and in a matter of 3 weeks it was back.

I think mine came up from my window shades. I just pushed it back in, and haven't seen it since.

well since my dealer did nothing for me by saying more or less that it is normal I did some research. I fouund out there is a TSB for this. It says some 2009-2010 F150 built on or before 10/7/2010 may exhibit foam seal detaching. The TSB number is TSB 10-22-3. Reading threw the TSB they take the winsheild out scrape of the old clean up the glue and put a new felt strip in.

removing the entire windshield in the process... which if you do more research, has lead to leaking windshields... so it's you're call personally, I'm just going to keep ripping the crap out as it creeps up until it's all gone

My dealer fixed it. They took the windshield out (broke it in the process) and put a new strip in. Then they put a windshield that was different back in. Then they took that one out (broke that one too) and put the right windshield in. If it does it again this summer I will just pull it out.
