Will tow mirrors look funny

I like the look of the tow mirrors. If they can make them telescope in and out they could retract in when not towing. That could work nice.

Meaner than ymeski56
I've just got the regular mirrors on my truck. I find the towing mirrors look a little dorky on the F150's unless they already have a trailer attached or the truck is lifted. That being said, I wish Ford had come out with an idea like Ram did for the 1500's where the mirror folds up and down as needed.
I looked up tow mirrors for a 1500 and the only thing I found was Mopar towing mirrors that look to me like they just extended the stock mirror out more.

Hi,
Here's my truck with the tow mirrors showing from 3 angles. Seems to work for me looks wise. A little big, but function counts.
As stated the mirror view is awesome with these, but be aware they also block the view to the corner of the truck. I find they get in the way when cornering, often blocking visibility of the car, etc that is in the next lane. E.g. turning left in front of a car stopped that is going straight through.
I've considered switching them for standard mirrors (I don't tow big things, they just came with the truck) but I really like the rear view they provide.

Don't like the looks of the tow mirrors but they are great when needed.

Having the SD Tow Mirrors are more than just the look. The increased visability and blind spot mirror are great to have and while towing. The additional amber side light and turning signal is also nice. They extend and retract/fold, heated defroster. From the people that have them like me, Ford should make these standard on all F150's. The tiny little side mirrors they give the F150 should be on a car not a truck. JMHO!
