Default Will EPAS replacement change alignment ?

Had my 2011 3.5 EB 4X4 super cab EPAS replaced under warranty at 112,000 miles a couple months ago.

Now real glad I bought extended care.

My question is does the replacement of the EPAS require at least a check of the alignment ?

Had the tires rotated yesterday, and the tech reported cupping on both front tires, back ones were still good.

They should have aligned it as they had to reuse the outer tie-rods. New assembly should have came with inner tie rods.

Cupping usually means underinflation. Alignment issues would usually show up on just one side of the tire.

Absolutely they should have checked the alignment. The toe in will have changed and that's the most critical adjustment when it comes to tire wear. Been doing alignments for close to 35 years now.

I'd need to see a pic of the wear pattern to determine what the issue might be. Here's a graphic that you might be able to compare by looking at them.
