Yeah, that's what I want to know. If people are only turning them on when "foggy" well that might be twice a year so comments like "2 years, 8,000 miles with no problems" can be misleading.

Good question, I usually run my fogs every time I use the headlights.

I keep my lights on Automatic, so they are always on at night.
Had them in my 2011 for 9 months (17,000 miles).
Have had them in my 2012 for 6 months (6,000 miles). Kansas had lots of days over 100ºF, 23 in a row this summer.
No cracks, melting or fogging.

I don't know about in these trucks, but I had them in for almost 100k miles with no problems until I had a surge that blew both lights at the same time. Not a problem of the bulbs though. And nothing happened to the housings except the normal yellowing on the outside.
