Default Will 9145 fogs melt plastic housing?

Has anyone had any problems running 9145's in your fog lights in a 2009+. I have a 2011 and thinking about silverstars.
I know there are other threads on this, I could not find anything recent. None of the threads I saw were specific to the newer model f150's.

I did a search on this and one expert did not think they would. However, he recommended against going any higher than the 9145.

I have had them for like a month/4000 miles so far. I have a habit of always turning my lights on when I start the truck, even in daylight, so they were on for every single bit of those 4000 miles and I haven't noticed any issues.

Great info!
Maybe they burn hotter than other 9145's?I had just ordered the piaa 9145's, and now I cancelled. I will get the sylvania Silver Star 9145's, as many run them with no problems.

Been running the 9145 silver stars for several months, the output is good/better than stock but by no means crazy bright but, I like them and there have been zero problems with heat....don't be afraid. The increase over stock is worth it!!
