Will 2014 be the year for the complete makeover?

hmm
The 3.7 is pretty pegged out for what it is. My thought is a 4 cylinder gas turbo option for 2wd regular cab and supercab models. The 2.0L Ecoboost in the 2013 focus ST is 250hp/270tq. There's no reason that wouldn't push a lighter F150, especially with an 8 speed.
Also remember, that camo on those pics is very deceiving. See how it looks a little pudgy in some areas? They have a lot of foam underneath to conceal any cosmetic changes. I truly believe that camo makes that truck look bigger than it really is. Who knows what will happen with the drivetrains, but I'm positive they have some more MPG tricks up their sleeves.
From the looks of it, the 2013/2014 trucks will be more capable than the 2015 F150. Pure speculation of course.

i could see that little boost hitting a rangers hood...
and i cant remember where i read it, but trucks are supposed to be headding to an aluminum life to shed 700lbs overall.
i read on yahoo news recently that bmw has already decided on a full aluminum body.

With the success of the Ecoboost I could see them a Baby Boost engine, not the 2.0l though. They do have a 2.3l Eco in the wings which would be plenty happy churning out 275/300 which is plenty for a base engine.

It looks like 2015 will be the redesign. Like mentioned above, I don't think they would do anything to the 2013's if they planned on a complete redesign for 2014. If I had to take a guess, the 2015 will be a smaller version of the current trucks and much lighter. I anticipate extensive use of aluminum and possibly magnesium and most likely many other changes to achieve fuel economy standards. An 8 speed trans and a 4 cylinder Ecoboost option wouldn't surprise me as well. If I were you, I'd pick up a 2013 or 2014.

EDIT: I just realised the grab handle looks somewhat like a 03 model:
I don`t know why I'm so unwilling to believe this is the next-gen F150... I guess i just can't stand the thought of them taking a truck that looks so good right now, and making it look like... this??
